GameStop seems to be following its practice of not selling these consoles individually; GameStop has accurately understood how much fans want this console. That is why it seems like all the next-gen consoles are being in the form of bundles.
Adding on, this restock will probably follow the same norms as the previous ones did. That being, only GameStop Pro members can avail of purchasing the account. Furthermore, players and fans will have to acquire the real deal of this membership. A trial version will not do. The restock is online only.
Both the Xbox Series X, as well as the PlayStation, debuted near the end of 2020. Since their release, both have been highly successful in their respective avenues. However, a common complaint fans of both these franchises have is the sheer shortage of units. Even after more than a year since their release, the consoles are in extremely high demand and in short supply.

This can be attributed to a plethora of reasons. Firstly, due to the crippling pandemic, people are confined to their homes. This has caused a surge in the interest in video games. In fact, the pandemic period has been rewarding for the gaming industry. Due to more people at home with nothing to do, the demand for the consoles have as it is increased.
Adding on, this period has witnessed the shortage of silicon chips required in these consoles. In fact, even the automobile industry has been affected by the chip shortage, with massive finished vehicles piling up just waiting for the silicon chips. Finally, scalpers who use bots to mass purchase units try to resale the consoles at exorbitant prices on platforms such as eBay.
A culmination of these reasons has caused a console shortage and only added to the frustration and dismay of fans. Hopefully, this restock among others will help quench the shortage.
