Konami has hired a studio named Virtuous to remake Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from the ground up. The game was announced earlier this year at a PlayStation showcase.

Fans are indeed very excited about this game, and they have high expectations for this remake too. Given the fact that this developer previously worked on remakes of Demon Souls, Shadow of the Colossus, etc. with Bluepoint Games.

Silent Hill 2

This is another remake with the Bloober Team at the helm. They have specified that they aim to keep this classic title faithful to the original. When it was announced earlier this year, Bloober Team made a big deal about this game being developed using Unreal Engine 5.

It will be great to see how this game is shaping up during the upcoming Gamescom event.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake

Rumors of remakes of Oblivion started dropping earlier, but fans have been somewhat indifferent about them. One thing that is most notable is the fact that this game is being developed at Virtuous.

They are working on it by combining the old engine of Oblivion and merging it with Unreal Engine 5. This is being done to keep the gameplay of the original game and upgrade the visuals.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

The recent launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 has proved that there is no shortage of love for old-school role-playing games. Hence, it will not be surprising if Bioware and Electronic Arts decided to hype their fans up a little more for their upcoming RPG, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

Maybe a short glimpse at the gameplay, and perhaps even a demo, might be on the cards if fans are lucky. There cannot be a better time to showcase this game than now.

Stalker 2

Of Course, if Microsoft is bringing Xbox to Gamescom 2023, Stalker 2 will be there too. This very good-looking game is at the top of the list for many first-person shooter enthusiasts.

A sequel to one of the creepiest post-apocalyptic games of all time, this title would surely attract fans who have a deep love for titles like Metro and Fallout.

Forza Motorsport

Sony launched Gran Turismo 7 a while ago. The game was a visual marvel and was extremely beautiful to look at. Now the developers of the Forza Motorsport series are all set to bring their own take on the driving sim genre.

The game undoubtedly looks incredible. Turn 10 Studios has worked so hard on this game that they have even given those cars some of the most realistic tires ever seen in a video game.

It would be very interesting to see what they decide to showcase during Gamescom.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Of course, CD Projekt Red is coming to Gamescom 2023. Fans can rest assured knowing that they will bring the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 with them.

The expansion is all set to transform the original game into something else. This expansion will also star none other than Idris Elba, alongside Keanu Reeves, who is already part of this series.

Nintendo Switch 2

Finally, the arms of the clock stop at the possible announcement for the Nintendo Switch 2. One of the most anticipated announcements of this year, no doubt. It is being said that the console will bring almost as much power to the table as Sony’s PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro.

It would be very interesting to see what titles Nintendo chooses to showcase alongside this console if they choose to unveil it during Gamescom. If the rumors of its Q2 launch next year are true, the announcement should happen any time now. What better opportunity to announce it than Gamescom itself?
