The Gunk is back in action, as title maker Thunderful Studios rolled out a gameplay trailer during Xbox’s showcase. Gamescom 2021 promised big revelations, and the event has thus delivered with a roster of massive announcements. This gameplay reveal offers a deep dive into the aesthetic beauty of the title along with its elaborate storyline.

Gamescom 2021 has seen the final trailer for ‘The Gunk’

The Gunk has indeed re-emerged during Gamescom’s showcase for Xbox. The title is merely a few weeks away from its ultimate release and the studio has used the opportunity to bring it to everyone’s attention. Thunderful’s executive, Ulf Hartelius, revealed several fantastic updates about the studio’s latest title. The Gunk has been built on unreal engine 4 and it promises to offer a fantastic 3D experience. The studio’s partnership with Xbox has indeed helped the team to build the title the way it was meant to be.

You can run the title on Xbox One at a stable 30 FPS without any problem. This game can offer crystal clear 4k resolution at 60FPS on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Tailormade for the next-gen consoles and PC players and it can be best experienced on those devices. This is Thunderful’s first 3D project, and it has left no stone unturned to produce the best experience imaginable.

Step into the shoes of Rani, who is a part of the two-person salvage group. She, alongside her partner Beck, explore various uninhabited planets in pursuit of vital resources. They run into a rather untouched planet and discover a strange virus, ‘The Gunk’, that is slowly rotting the entire planet. Now it is up to this duo to chart their way through the infected planet as they try to harness this plague.
