To begin with, PlayStation Q is going to be a streaming only device. Which means, it can only run games on WiFi and high speed internet. Sony has made it clear in its announcement that it won’t be support native gaming. The users will be able to run the titles installed on their PS5 on this product through streaming.
As soon as the news on this device, revealed during the PlayStation Showcase event, broke out, it’s been mostly attracting unfavorable reactions. Following the announcement, Sony took to its official Twitter account to tweet about PS Q in order to make the fans excited and hyped. However, their response was not something the company was expecting.

Seems like a lot of gaming enthusiasts are assuming the upcoming streaming-only product to be Sony’s effort to copy Nintendo Switch. On the other hand, some of the individuals think that the limitation of not supporting native gaming will result in its downfall. A few of them also mentioned that Sony’s decision to come up with something like this is a bad idea altogether. “Copying the switch essentially”, wrote one disappointed user.

it would be great if you could play on this handheld while another person is playing on the ps5 console itself.
then it could somewhat compete with nintendo switch (if you are playing the same game simultaneously).
but i doubt this will be possible.
