The Fortnite world is disappointed with the game’s current stage after hackers are ruining their perfect victory royales.

Hacking has been a major problem in the gaming industry as people have found a variety of ways to cause problems in the games. For instance, they would add cheat codes, hacks, and all possible ways to get the extra perks above others, their toxic behavior tends to ruin things for everyone. And well, online games have fallen prey to most of it, as every day there’s a rise of a new hacker.

This has been one of the main problems of games like Fortnite, with users complaining daily. At first, hackers found ways to destroy opponents with the ‘aim-assit’ hack – one of the popular ones during the early stages. Then, it graduated on max HP, unlimited ammo, and so on. But now, it looks like things are getting out of hand as cheaters are ruining the game at the competitive stage.

Fans are not happy with competitive Fortnite anymore

On March 5, 2023, popular Fortnite streamer Lachlan pointed out this issue on Twitter. He said, “Sad to see the state of Fortnite competitive. First it was cheaters in the top 10 of zero build cups every week, now we have people “rage cheating” in FNCS (allegedly). Fortnite anti-cheat isn’t what it used to be.” And on top of that, he even uploaded a video to support his explanation.

Lachlan’s post instantly grabbed the attention of thousands of fans who tuned in to share insights. The majority of them were as unhappy as him and expressed their sorrows in the comments section. Moreover, Epic Games did introduce an anti-cheat system sometime back, but it didn’t fair well. So, here’s what they had to say.

To explain the clip in detail, it showcases a player that seems to have a see-through and aim-assist hack. There’s a huge wall hiding the opponent behind it, so the player can’t know whether there’s another person running behind it. And even if the person claims to have spotted the enemy, the chances to hit all three shots in a row – including a headshot in sync is impossible.

This has caused serious problems not just for casual lobbies but the competitive ones. A prime example was recently seen at the FNCS in December when NRG Ron caught a cheater on stream. So, will Fortnite look into it? Can we see some new anti-cheat system? Well, time will tell!
