Nintendo released a few games from Game boy and Game Boy Advance libraries to Nintendo Switch online. These games are amongst the top selling and highly rated games on those consoles. Nintendo releasing game carts would give gamers an option to buy the games they want, and even help preserve Nintendo’s library for a little longer. Currently, if a fan wants to buy a Game boy or Game boy advance, or even NES cartridge online, they would have to shed a good amount of money for it.
It’s a very common consensus that instead of locking these games behind Nintendo Switch Online subscription, Nintendo should rather sell them separately. Be it through Eshop or physical cartridges, either way would be acceptable.
