It seems like nothing is going well right now for the GTA franchise. Following the angry reactions of the players over Rockstar Games, there’s a new studio now that just faced the wrath of the passionate series lovers.
However, this time, the reaction was for the recently released GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition. Not to mention how much criticism the remastered collection has received already. But it hasn’t been just enough, to say the least.

GTA developer Grove Street faces massive backlash from gamers
Apart from Rockstar, the main developer of the beloved series, Grove Street has also been a key studio for the franchise in the last decade. For those uninitiated, its team has played a crucial role in bringing many GTA titles’ ports for iOS and Android. That way, even the players not having consoles are able to experience them.
However, lately, the overall series has come under a bad light, especially after last year’s debut of The Definitive Edition. For someone who’s played it already, it won’t be difficult to say that it was far from perfect. All the games from the original trilogy ended up getting bad reviews and feedback from critics and players combined.
After Rockstar, now it seems like Grove Street Games is the next on fans’ target in a serious manner.
Recently, the developer shared news of its latest job listings for those interested in joining the team. On Twitter, it mentioned that working will feel like having fun at Grove Street.
Our team is expanding! Come work at a place where having fun and doing your job are the same thing.

On the other hand, fans had their own opinions as they wasted no time in calling out the studio for not doing anything to fix the GTA Trilogy. Many of the players were critical of their way of handling the gameplay-based complaints.

Some players even showed in their replies that they were blocked by the studio for expressing honest thoughts.
Are you hiring so that you can fix the mess you’ve made of the Trilogy?

I understand this tweet is to promote your job listings and attract new talent.
However, punishing passionate fans (that only want the best version of the product they paid for) by blocking them is totally unprofessional.
Do better @GroveStGames

Imagine hiding replies and blocking people instead of just answering yes or no lmaoooo

why are you blocking ppl or hiding their replies just for genuine questions about the future of the gta trilogy? it was a bad version please just own up to it rather than hiding or being snarky about it. R* doesn't respect us. if you at least talked to us then it'll be better

"having fun and doing your job are the same thing"
Is that why the Gta Definitive Edition turned out the way it did? Too focused on the having fun part instead of the doing your job part?— Michael (@ArcticKrampus) April 14, 2022
