The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has taken over the internet with its release. Furthermore, Zelda fans also believe that TOTK will carry Breath of the Wild’s legacy by winning the Game of the Year Award for 2023. Owing to its immense performance, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Zelda franchise actually takes away the award from its competitors.

Nintendo did overcome several challenges while developing Tears of the Kingdom. One of them was to enhance the open-world experience for its users in comparison to BOTW. Indeed, the Zelda team didn’t disappoint their fandom and revolutionized every BOTW iconic feature.

On their journey, players will encounter several monsters and have to make tough choices for Link. Furthermore, the combat system is quite challenging as users have to keep track of their weapons’ conditions. Interestingly, TOTK also allows players to repair their weapons just like back in Breath of the Wild.

How to repair weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers players to engage in combat with various types of weapons such as swords, bows, melee, and others. However, the weapon condition plays an important part and there’s a secret method to repair all torn weapons. The first thing players need is to find an Octorok, the squid-like enemy, known for chewing up and then spitting out flaming rocks.

These creatures are primarily found in the northern dry Eldin region near Death Mountain, where the Gorons live. The Octorok has different attack patterns which might confuse players with their first encounter. If they get too close, they’ll hide, but if they keep their distance, they’ll alternate between a sucking vortex and spitting objects at you.

Interestingly, if you will drop your weapons near these monsters, they will simply swallow it all up. In a few minutes, you will notice a sparkling sign above their head, meaning the progress is complete. Now, you can either just slay the monster or wait for it to spit it back out at you. Moreover, you can repair any type of weapon thanks to this method.
