Is it too late to take the entire trilogy back and rework them? The answer to that question is a simple yes, as the global release of GTA Trilogy in the past few days has inflicted enough damage already. Buggy gameplay, unbearable glitches, explicit mini-game, and missing soundtracks have made things chaotic. And the community isn’t too pleased.
Fans were expecting to receive a pristine collection of titles, which could throw us all into the whirlpool of nostalgia. However, Rockstar Games have found itself in troubled waters as its plans have not exactly worked out.
Not only did the definitive edition disappoint the community, but the fanbase is now drawing comparisons with CDPR’s bug-riddled release of Cyberpunk 2077.

Twitter reacts to GTA Trilogy failing t0 meet the expectations
The Definitive Edition aimed to bring back the golden days of roaming inside Los Santos, Vice City, and Liberty City. The community was indeed looking forward to revisiting this iconic trio under the new light of the upgraded visuals. However, the released collection failed to keep things together and fans have begun to dub the game as a colossal failure.
it’s like rockstar saw cyberpunk’s bugs and took it on as a challenge https://t.co/Fcc6ijClQ5

Bugs are one thing, but a car flying over everyone’s head in an undetermined manner is just disappointing. GTA franchise cherishes chaos, but these bugs have pushed it into the realm of stupidity.
Rockstar saw cyberpunk’s bugs and were like “oh you all want real chaos?” https://t.co/GZRjEVE5DY

These GTA titles still have nostalgia and massive support behind them, which CDPR’s Cyberpunk never had. This fan thinks it is not fair to draw comparisons between the two.
The problem: Old GTAs still legendary

Undoubtedly, Rockstar Games are masters of open-world titles with a roster of successful titles. Meanwhile, this fan thinks the studio is after something else, which it never really had.
Kings of open world in all aspects. They want all the titles even the negative ones 🤣

Diehard fans of Rockstar Games jumped on the thread to mount a defense for their favorite studio. This fan stated that Cyberpunk was unplayable at launch, while the GTA Trilogy can still be played.
Alright chill. I know you like being melodramatic but come on now. Cyberpunk had frequent crashes, unplayable quests, constant performance hitches, incessant bugs. Really Gene?

Game Pass users stated that mere 15 minutes of gameplay revealed the horrible quality of the remaster. This fan is thankful for the subscription, as it helped him make an educated choice.
Game pass saved me. I played 15 minutes and I was done

This fan feels the new trilogy isn’t a remastered version of the game at all. His experience with the older remastered variants and current definitive edition has uncovered curious results.
Which by the way the PS4 original versions are a more proper remaster with trophy support added, higher resolution, and just some visual improvements here and there. The only flaw being the obvious removal of some songs but that's it, and it's miles better than this garbage.

Some fans called the latest releases a money grab, as the studio didn’t seem to take remastering work seriously. This fan thinks the studio should have only released a well-built version of GTA 3, as it truly deserved its time underneath the spotlight.
they could have made a proper "Remake" for GTA III only since it's the only one here with 20th anniversary, give themselves enough time to "remake" the other two in later years without rushing themselves , since GTA VI release is most likely too far away from now
