FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launched in August to a positive response from critics. The game is a shining example of gameplay shining over visuals; it has seemingly become a very popular title amongst the fans of the studio’s last venture, Elden Ring.

But this does not mean it does everything right. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon has a bunch of technical issues. But it looks like FromSoftware has been working on them, as they recently launched a massive patch to fix this game.

Everything Patch 1.03 fixes in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon

The patch recently went live, and everyone playing on PlayStation, Xbox consoles, and Steam will be able to download it. The update would fix a number of problems and add some new things to the mech combat game too.

New Additions

  • In multiplayer matches, players would be able to click on “Quit Spectate” and leave the match if they wished.
  • “Chg. Ammo Consumption” parameter has been added to the “IB-C03W3: NGI 006” coral missile part specs that can be seen by “Toggle Display”.
  • The “Scan Standby Time” parameter is added to the head part specs.

Bug Fixes

  • Removed the bug where some enemies got stuck in the terrain in the mission “Intercept the Redguns”.
  • In “Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship,” enemies would appear normally, no matter where the player character is standing.
  • In “Breach the Karman Line,” enemies would disappear once they were defeated.
  • Solved a bug in Tetrapod legs regarding disabling the boost.
  • “VP-66LS” laser shotgun would fire normally when equipped with the left hand.
  • “VP-60LT” laser turret would now respond to the sub-generators during the mission “Destroy the Weaponized Mining Ship”.
  • Reloading the “Vvc-700LD” laser drone would not randomly lock player AC onto the targets.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes incorrect icons would appear for different damage types and reload.

  • Adjusted the timing window for being able to use repair kits while firing certain weapons.
  • Fixed the problem of a normal shot unintentionally causing fire after the use of a charge shot during an assault boost.
  • Fixed a bug where status effect damage would not show up on the HUD.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash in certain situations.
  • “Motion Blur” in photo mode has been replaced by “Camera Blur” due to some behavioral issues. Developers are planning to bring back motion blur in the future.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from unlocking “Weapon Collector”, “External Parts Collector,” and “Internal Parts Collector” trophies.
  • Players in the online match menu would be informed when the match starts, even if they were on another menu.

Steam fixes

  • Resolved the issue of incorrect rendering of HUD while changing the screen mode.
  • The bug, causing a crash if players change graphics settings in the Multiplayer Room has been fixed.
  • Share IDs can now be recognized, even if they are in lowercase or uppercase.

This is a hefty list of changes, and it really fixes some of the most annoying issues with Armored Core 6. Here’s hoping FromSoftware keeps this up and we get more updates until this game is flawless.
