CS:GO is easily the most known name in competitive FPS gaming. With major tournaments and championships, Counter Strike still holds a special place in the community. Players have thousands of hours of play time where they grind for months to unlock items or skins. However, some players seem to be more fortunate when it comes to stumbling upon rare in-game items that others have taken hundreds of hours to find. One such incident happened recently as an 18-year old with only about 30 hours of play time has come across one of the rarest CS:GO items, which is supposedly valued at least $150,000.
Playing for just 3 days, the kid came across a 387 pattern Karambit blue gem knife, and the community is losing it!

CS:GO has multiple items that are considered to be highly valuable for collectors. Many of these items also have a highly potential market where people are ready to pay real money to get hold of them. Players often put in days’ worth of time just to lay their hands one any of these that can also provide some financial benefits if the right purchaser can be found.
Even though you play the OG competitive FPS for years, no one can assure you that you’ll be able to own rare items like the AK-47 Fire Serpent or M4A4 Poseidon. But the issue of finding an item is also purely coincidental where sheer luck can be someone’s aide in the most unexpected manner. Popular YouTuber Jake Lucky’s recent Twitter post stunned the community as he pointed at a kid who just got pretty lucky.

18-year-old struck gold
On Twitter, Lucky seemed pretty astonished at the 18-year old’s luck. “This kid had only been playing CS for 3 days, he had 31 hours of playtime, and his first knife opened is one of the rarest ever in the game“, Jake wrote on his post. While this is already pretty awesome for most players in the community, Jake wanted to learn more about how the kid got so lucky so early into the game.

So he reached out to the said CS player for a talk, that Lucky posted on his YouTube channel. The kid told him that he holds a job in the military and after getting paid he used the money to buy almost 200 in-game cases. He opened 180 cases without getting anything of worth. The next day he had his expectations low. The last box he opened made his jaw drop as it revealed the coveted Karambit patter 387 blue gem knife. During the talk with Jake, the kid revealed that he plans on keeping the item to himself for now and hopes to get some blood on the blade.
