Over the years, the Switch version of Electronic Arts’ sports adaptations has always suffered a quality compromise in terms of graphics and gameplay features. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem like the case in the Switch version of EA FC 24. The visuals of the game fairly compete with the standards of the PC and other console versions. Also, a big pitch for this year’s Switch version is it became the first ever EA Sports title to support Frostbite.

Frostbite engine helps reduce the gap between visual and graphics experience in the Nintendo version to the PC launch. Thus you won’t feel a greater difference in quality. Besides this big pitch, there have been plenty of new innovative additions to the title. These include Ultimate Team, Playstyle gameplay, career mode, and clubs.

The Ultimate Team feature has been the highlight of all the new additions EA FC 24 brings to the franchise. The inclusion of women superstars in the game and the liberty to blend them with male soccer stars gives an all-new tangent to the mode. This specific feature is being hailed and appreciated by the whole gaming community. The chemistry equations have also changed with the inclusion of female athletes in the Ultimate team.

The Playstyle and Playstyle+ feature will help the players understand the skills of individuals better and differentiate them based on unique abilities. There are around 30+ unique skills available in all the versions of EA FC 24. These include long ball pass, power shot, orbit touch, effort dribble touch, etc.

What doesn’t work in favor of the Switch version?

Following all these perks, there are a few bummers to look into. Few of them are associated with features that cannot be accessed in the Standard Nintendo Switch version. Crossplay, which prevents console and PC players from playing against Switch players, is a feature that the Switch is missing.

The Division Rivals and Champions tournaments are another Ultimate Team element that Nintendo Switch users are excluded from. users on the handheld console cannot participate in these events.

Even if you are okay with ignoring the missouts, the cost for EA FC 24 on Switch is a major issue for the players. Currently, the game would cost around 60 dollars for the handheld console which when compared to the 40-dollar deal for FIFA 23 makes it a huge leap.
