Recently, Jimmy shared his journey of making it onto YouTube, from a nobody to everybody’s favorite today. He shared that, at the age of 12, he opened his YouTube channel and got his first subscriber. He had to wait a year to gain just nine more. And at the age of 19, he achieved the milestone that every budding YouTuber dreams of every night: he completed a million subs. After this, this American philanthropist never had to look backward. Six years later, after completing one million subscribers, MrBeast went on to add 183 more, making him the highest-subbed individual YouTuber in the world.

He has also stated that, if he ever grows up, he will be doing so by becoming a YouTuber, nothing else. There has never been a second option from the beginning. He always knew that he was going to achieve his dream, as he never thought about what he would do if he didn’t achieve it. If he wasn’t going to be a successful YouTuber, he already decided he would still be doing videos at the age of 70, even if no one watched those videos.

Jimmy started his YouTube career under the name “MrBeast6000” when he uploaded his first video. In the earlier days of his career, he was mainly focused on Let’s Plays, on games like Minecraft, Call of Duty, and many others. But Donaldson rose to popularity in 2015 with his renowned video series, “Worst Intros on YouTube.”

But the real deal was at the beginning of 2017. In January, MrBeast uploaded an almost day-long video of himself counting to 100,000, which literally broke the internet. This video went viral overnight, and it was the beginning of something beautiful.

Six years after his breakthrough video, Beast made the biggest video of his life. He organized an Olympics-formatted video in which one subscriber from each country took part in this event called the Extreme Olympics. In this event, participants took part in conventional sports like track and field, fencing, archery, soccer, and many others, with a touch of signature MrBeast challenges. This video cost him over $4 million, which surpassed his previous biggest video, the Squid Game adaptation.
