Being pitched as the biggest superhero game of all time, Insomniac Games hasn’t left a single box unchecked. Not just the main narrative, fans cannot get over the commendable story expansions and side activities in Spider-Man 2. Well, the buzz around all the possible expansion in the latest PS release is hot, and here’s why. 

The much-awaited sequel to 2018’s celebrated venture Marvel’s Spider-Man finally hit the markets on October 20. The build-up to the launch has probably been one of the grandest lead-ups to a release. Most of the hype has been banked on the potential storylines and characters that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 brings to Sony’s virtual spiderverse. But the side stories and activities might be your biggest distraction in the game! 

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Exploring the Side Stories in New York! 

Delivering a bigger city and not one but two playable web-slinging heroes, Insomniac Games knew they had to put a strong focus on the city’s sense of exploration and discovery. Fortunately, the developers haven’t disappointed. As one progresses through the center story, a number of new activities and storylines will become available. 

Many activities will also help the players have a better understanding of the complexity of the characters featured in the main storyline. For example, Hunter’s Cloaked Blinds that overlook the Big Apple lead to even greater and more intriguing challenges. Adding to that, this side adventure would also let the players discover more about Marvel’s greatest hunter, Kraven. Thus, progressing in this particular side story would help the players gain extra rewards.

Other side activities will lead to a climactic showdown with Marvel’s villains not yet seen in the Spider-Man Universe. In fact, the developers have claimed the narrative of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to be unpredictable and strongly different from the likes of comics and movies. 

Accessing the side storylines

As you progress in the main story, side activities will be availed on each level. The majority of those will be represented by visual cues across the city of New York. There is no extra effort required to spot these cues as they would be easy to locate while you are swinging across the streets of your town. 

A flock of Kraven Talon Drones circling a building, a bright neon mysterious symbol projected in the sky, or even an unfair Spider-Pot Bing emitting from one of the rooftops, are all references to what the side activity cues would look like in the game. 

The Spider-Heroes also have new technology in the lenses of their masks that would help them locate and trace the side activities in the game. However, you can always refer to the upgraded Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man App.
