PlayStation’s much-anticipated State of Play event kicked off yesterday and it featured some extremely interesting reveals. Fans applauded the latest State of Play, with some terming it as the ‘Best SOP in a long time!’ – even without a God of War Ragnarök feature.

The June 2022 State of Play revealed a bunch of new titles in development for the PS console and the PS VR2. We, fans, already had a version of the event in our minds before it kicked off. However, Sony managed to surprise us, hard.
We definitely weren’t expecting Resident Evil 4 to start off the event with a bang! Followed by Capcom’s exhilarating reveals, we met Spider-Man. Not a Spider-Man II, but a Spiderman Remastered that is coming soon for the PC platform.
The State of Play June 2022 showcased a lot of creeps and scares, along with exciting adventures and action! Have a look at some of the most unexpected titles that stunned all fans across the world.
Resident Evil 4 will get a remake and VR content
This definitely tops the charts! However, Resident Evil 4’s remake was not a secret; a lot of fans already knew it was coming. The trailer showed off terrifying gameplay footage as is expected from the franchise. According to the State of Play announcement, the remake is all set to hit the stores on March 24, 2023. It will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Hold on, VR fans! PS VR2 content for Resident Evil 4 is also under development as Capcom revealed at the State of Play. Not only this but Resident Evil Village is also coming to PS VR2. Unlimited fun for horror fans who would love some extra immersion!

Street Fighter 6 coming to major platforms in 2023!
Here’s another surprise from Capcom revealed at the latest State of Play! The iconic franchise’s upcoming installment will feature new characters and an intriguing open world mode, as the trailer showcase in the event revealed. Street Fighter 6 is expected to drop sometime in 2023.

Capcom later released their own version of the trailer, adding in Xbox Series X|S and PC as playable platforms, alongside PS5 and PS4.
Spider-Man Remastered is coming to PC!
Just when fans were expecting a second installment of Spider-Man! A remastered version for the iconic Marvel title featuring the original story will drop very soon on Steam and Epic Games Store. PC enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on this much-anticipated and fun remake on August 12, 2022, and beyond!

Final Fantasy XVI is here!
And last but not the least, we have got one of the most anticipated RPG games. Final Fantasy XVI’s showcase was the closing ceremony we all needed! The trailer revealed a lot of intriguing gameplay scenes, featuring high-octane battles starring Clive Rosfield (protagonist), breath-taking summons, and more. The much-awaited MMORPG is all set to drop in the summer of 2023 exclusively on PS5.
