Destiny 2: Lightfall Content vault

Destiny players are aware that Bungie implemented a content vault system to this game’s expansions for a reason. They wanted to make sure that in case they decide to bring any content or expansion back to the game in the future, it does not end up being a big deal.

Content vaulting was their solution to that problem. Every expansion and every piece of content they launched got stored here. But it appears that Bungie has decided to be done with the content vault with the release of Lightfall. In August 2022, it was announced that the expansions starting from the new year would no longer be vaulted. This means Lightfall is the first victim of this decision.

The setting of the Lightfall DLC

Lightfall takes its players to the neon-filled world of Neomuna. This new location looks like something straight out of a Cyberpunk game. But of course, it has that pinch of Destiny’s taste to it.

It looks different enough, but no one would mistake this new setting for anything other than a Destiny 2 setting.
