Final Fantasy XVI is the latest game in Square Enix’s long-running Japanese action role-playing series. This series has already earned a combined revenue of $2 Billion in the west alone. While fans await this PlayStation 5 exclusive eagerly, a bunch of critics has gotten their hands on it early, and they have posted their reactions online.

Final Fantasy XV was released years ago, the game was a perfect sequel. Its gameplay was advanced, its visuals were beautiful and its story was captivating. Developers have a responsibility to not fall short of expectations after delivering such an explosive title.
Final Fantasy VII Remake followed XV, and while not a sequel, it still set some really high standards visually. Its gameplay too leaned more towards real-time than anything else. Fans really loved it, even though it changed the gameplay drastically.

And if the early previews of this game are anything to go by, it’s as brilliant as expected. First of all, this game yet again reinvents the gameplay of this series. Final Fantasy XVI’s gameplay is more like Devil May Cry than any previous Final Fantasy game.

Some even confirmed that this game supports a 60 FPS mode on PlayStation 5, which is an excellent thing. Many gamers prefer 60 FPS over 4k, for them this would prove a blessing.
Final Fantasy XVI will have around 11+ hours of cutscenes and would have a main story that would last around 35 hours. Players would get to explore a semi-open-world map just like one in God of War: Ragnarok.

The biggest news of them all is for fans eager to get their own hands on it. Final Fantasy XVI would have a Demo released around 2 weeks ahead of launch.
