So if you ever thought of making a collection of your own, here are some of the rarest Nintendo Consoles that you most didn’t know existed. 

Top 3 rare Nintendo consoles

#1 Wii the Art

Back in 2007, Nintendo teamed up with Magic Pony and Udon entertainment to produce a line of six hand-painted Wii consoles. Individual Canadian artists designed each of these six varieties to give the systems a touch of funky uniqueness. These consoles were never made available to the public market, but were distributed as prizes to lucky winners. Currently, some of these consoles may be found on eBay.

The six variants were: 

  • Wii The Art of Wii Gary Taxali Console
  • Wii The Art of Wii Hoi-An Tang Console
  • Wii The Art of Wii Derrick Hodgson Console

  • Wii The Art of Wii Kardinal Offishall Console
  • Wii The Art Of The Wii IllScarlett Console

#2 Mtv GameCube

In the early 2000s, Nintendo collaborated with the popular youth channel Mtv to promote the newly launched GameCube. As a fruit of this uncanny collaboration, 29 unique GameCube systems were produced that boasted the iconic Mtv logo and had custom paint jobs. These systems were never been made public. Just like the Wii The Art, these consoles were also given away as prizes. In 2003, during the month of December, Mtv had given away a console each day of the month except on Christmas and New year, which is why there are only 29 of these consoles available on the planet. 

#3 NES Nintendo World Championships edition 1990

Following the trend of exclusive consoles made just for prize purposes, a special variant of the classic SNES was produced for the 1990 World Championship, hosted by Nintendo. These consoles are extremely rare. They may look like just any other SNES, but each of these consoles had a special telephone connector outlet in the back and a special chip that had the official Nintendo World Championship Copyright written on it.
