Video games were always an intricate part of our childhood. As a kid, many fans would have hopped on their then-latest consoles from Nintendo or PlayStation and enjoyed the rush of playing some golden-age video games. This process has become a sweet memory in the heart of many gamers. They would love to revisit those moments in a heartbeat.
But when a Twitter user asked other people about their favorite video games of the previous generation, responses from the OG gamers started to pour in.

Recently, Twitter user @PicturesFoIder asked a simple question in a Tweet. They asked, “What old video games were your favorite growing up?” Along with this question was a collage of old-time games which included Pac-Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario, Tetris and more.

This simple question, however, managed to unlock a core memory in the minds of many gaming fans. These OG video game enthusiasts were too quick to list out the various games they grew up playing.
A common theme between all the games listed by the fans was these were mostly 2D games. All the games featured were made way before the boom of 3D games. This goes on to show that the craze for these older two-dimensional games is still present.
Gamers share the list of their favorite older-generation games
With fans poured in to share their favorite golden-age games, it was impossible to include them all. However, some old games were too good to pass up on being featured here. Road Rash, Prince of Persia, Dunk Hunt, and Mario were among the many shared by gamers.

Furthermore, a younger audience enjoyed several more recent games. These titles have also established themselves as video gaming industry legends. Among the new classics featured were Golden Eye 007, Battlefield 1942, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
