The Mandalorian skin came with Season 5 of the game as a crossover with Disney+’s series by the same name. Naturally, Star Wars fans went crazy to get their favorite intergalactic bounty hunter as a character skin on Fortnite. This skin differed from others since it was easier to get compared to the skins in previous seasons.
Usually, players had to wait for a long time after completing a series of tasks to get their hands on the skin. However, the Mandalorian skin only required players to purchase the Battle Pass, since it was available at Tier 1. Of course, completing tasks could enhance the skin further, but getting it was as easy as simply buying the Battle Pass.
Midas
Midas was among the most sought after character skins in 2020. Based on the Greek myth, Midas’ character truly lived up to the name. Like the original myth, anything that Midas touched would turn into gold; in this case, the weapons. In fact, the weapons remain gold skins even after he dropped them. Midas’ character originally released as a part of Chapter 2: Season 2 Battle Pass. Originally, Midas is a Spy Boss at The Agency and also leads a team of agents undercover for E.GO. and A.L.T.E.R. He was reintroduced in 2020 as a cyborg in the Last Laugh Bundle which released in November this year.
Aquaman
The undisputed king of the sea joined the Fortnite battalion as a part of the Season 2: Chapter 3 Battle Pass. Like with most other skins, players had to complete a bunch of challenges before they could get their hands on the Aquaman skin. However, players could not obtain this skin by simply progressing through the Battle Pass. They had to complete several sets of weekly challenges that unlocked as the season progressed. While this made the skin tougher to get than other Fortnite skins, seeing Aquaman as a part of the armory made the effort worth it.
Mystique
This year, Marvel dominated most of the popular Fortnite skins. Mystique was one such skin released as a part of Chapter 2: Season 4 Battle Pass. She is inspired by the Marvel character of the same name, and players can get her at level 80 of the Battle Pass. To obtain this skin, players had to complete a series of challenges known as the Awakening Challenges. Additionally, players could further enhance her character by progressing into the Battle Pass.
Wolverine
The clawed mutant himself also jumped on the Fortnite bandwagon in Chapter 2: Season 4 Battle Pass. Obtaining his skin required players to complete challenges as well, but they were slightly different. For instance, to obtain the Wolverine skin, players must fight and defeat Wolverine himself. Here, Wolverine is an optional NPC who roams around specific areas on the map. If you can locate him before other players, your chances of killing him first increase manifold.

Chapter 2: Season 4 Battle Pass also gave the community the Venom skin. This Marvel superhero’s skin differed from the others since players could also obtain it for free. However, players had to perform well in the Venom Cup to receive this free skin.
Ninja
Ninja’s skin in Fortnite was revolutionary since it began the introduction of non-fictional personalities as skins into the game. The YouTuber was also very excited about this collaboration, saying that the skin looked “just like [him]”. Players had to purchase the character through the Battle Pass. However, it resembled the YouTuber very closely. It had the signature blue hair, blue hooded jacket, and black pants that Ninja sports. The addition of this skin in Fortnite was just one of the many feathers that Ninja added to his cap this year.
Iron Man
The “genius, playboy, billionaire, philanthropist” also appeared in the Fortnite franchise as a playable character. Players can get his character through the Season 4 Battle Pass, which they can unlock at level 93. True to Tony Stark’s character, obtaining this skin was also complicated. In fact, even after unlocking the character, players had to play seven more levels to unlock the Awakening Challenges. After this, there are three more sets of challenges that are to be completed.
Thor
Marvel’s God of Thunder also joined the Fortnite armory in Season 14 this year. Players needed to complete a couple of challenges called the Awakening Challenges to unlock Thor’s skin along with his Awakening emote. As the levels progress, players can also unlock the Silver, Gold, and Holo skins for the Almighty Thor.
