Gaming on YouTube is a very prominent genre. Many big names on the platform, such as Markiplier, JackSepticeye, and the former most subscribed channel on the website, PewDiePie, made their career playing video games. And in the current meta, newcomers such as IShowSpeed and ex-twitch veteran DrDisrespect are gaining some big numbers on their content.
YouTube is an ever-shifting platform, where new faces emerge and enjoy massive success and attention for a while, then fade away into obscurity if they fail to hold on to their relevance. Last month’s top charts are a great example of that where none of the old creators were visible as the new faces perch on the top shelves of the gaming scene on YouTube.

Both top independent content creators of the YouTube Gaming charts are former streamers on Twitch. Darren Watkins Jr aka IShowSpeed is known for his variety streams, which mostly revolve around gaming. Darren permanently moved on to YouTube, after getting banned from the Amazon-owned Streaming platform Twitch.
On the other hand, Herschel Beahm IV aka DrDisrespect was a veteran streamer. He was on Twitch, almost since the inception of the website. But recently, due to some controversies and undisclosed reasons, Beahm was also got banned from Twitch. similar to Darren, Doc also moved to YouTube to start streaming Multiplayer FPS games such as Call of Duty and rant about controller ‘aim assist’.
IShowSpeed and DrDisrespect secure their places in the Top Charts of YouTube Gaming
Recently, Streamcharts reported the month-long data to make the list of the most-watched gaming channels on YouTube. According to the charts, the top 10 Most watched gaming YouTubers are:-

The Official Overwatch League topped the charts with over 8.6 million watch hours this month. Followed by the Vietnamese channel Liên Qun Mobile eSports — Garena, streaming Arena of Valor, they have accumulated around 3.5 Million hours watched. The first individual content creator is DrDisrespect who has gotten a new have of viewers with his Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 streams.

IShowSpeed secured 5th place with 2.3 million hours of watch time. Other YouTubers like TimTheTatman and Jaiden Animations secured the 6th and 10th place in the chart, with 2.5 million and 2.3 million hours of watch time in their respective streams.
