With the release date of Diablo IV etching closer, fans are waiting in anticipation to return to the world of Sanctuary. The game is set after the events of the resurrection of the demon Lilith. And to defeat the demon queen, players must bring out their A-game. This may only be possible if the players build the best from the five playable classes.

Although the level of difficulty is higher, so is the amount of customization available to the players. But deciding what will be the best possible way to build a class might be a quest in itself. Early access to the game has given a sneak peek into what is to be expected from this horror-action RPG title. And the players doing the early access have luckily helped establish a meta for each class.

Below are some of the best builds for each class tested so far by the players.

The best Barbarian build

The Barbarians are one of the oldest classes in the Diablo series and many players choose this class as their first in the series. Following the same pattern, the Whirlwind Barbarian is becoming arguably the most selected choice in Diablo IV. Players should focus on Whirlwind, Challenging Shout, and War Cry in this build. But picking up skills to increase their close-range damage, health during fury, and any damage multipliers would be a plus point too.

Although the Diablo series lets Barbarians switch their weapons, their item database has yet to be fully explored. Till then Invigorating Fury combined with Whirlwind and Unbridled Rage would unleash the damage potential of this build best. This class is also reported to receive some power-ups at launch from Blizzard Entertainment.

The best Sorcerer build in Diablo IV

During the game’s beta period, the Sorcerers and the Necromancers were a force to be reckoned with. The Sorcerers have elemental magic letting players wield fire, ice, and lightning, which makes them a go-to choice among fans. Their Chain Lightning build proved to be one of the most lethal, but Blizzard has now nerfed it, making the Firewall Sorcerer the better option. This build gives the players the best of both worlds by offering a strong defense alongside some lethal damage stats.

While the main focus of the build is obviously Firewall, players should also pick up Hydra and Meteor to complement their main skill. Also, Inner Flames and Endless Pyre would be worthy add-ons too.

The best Druid build

This shape-shifting class is not getting enough glory in the latest title. In the beta testing, this class was a weaker choice to play with, and the planning of this class was a problematic one too. However, the developers have stated this to be the strongest class in the latest title. This may mean Blizzard is actually looking to buff up this class on launch.

The current best build for this class is Pulverize Werebear Druid as it is effective in enduring continuous attacks from the enemy but still manages to pack a punch. Players should focus on Pulverize and Earthen Bulwark in the early tree, and move down to gain more resistance, poison damage, and, ultimately, Grizzly Rage. In the Paragon Board, improving Willpower will in turn help in improving Overpower damages.

The best Rogue build in Diablo IV

This fast-moving combatant type did not receive the attention it deserved during beta testing. While Sorcerer and Necromancer were wreaking havoc, Rogue was silently depleting the ranks, even though the melee-based Twisting Blades Rogue build is perhaps Diablo IV’s most lethal build.

If you choose this build, you should max out Twisting Blades, pick up Siphoning Strikes, Exploit, Malice, and work your way through the tree, grabbing skills that fit your play style. Add-ons like Shadow Clone and Poison Traps can supplement your powers massively. But Blizzard did give a set of variety just for Rogue players as compared to other classes.

Long-range builds of this class are a viable option too. If you are more inclined toward archery, you can focus on Penetrating Shots Rogue. Adding Malice, Dark Shroud, and Exploit to this build increases the chances of surviving the hoards of minions an easier task. For late-game bow choices, players can either combine Cold Imbuement with Momentum to gain massive damage on Frozen enemies, or they can pick up Precision if they want to specialize in Penetrating Shot.

The best Necromancer build

This class became an instant selection of fans due to its utilization of dark magic for summoning and attacks upon announcement. Despite being nerfed, Summoning Necromancers was the top selection in this class. Summoning is not required in the early levels as the Book of the Dead is more than enough to carry players through if they want to fight minions. T

hey should instead focus on damaging spells like Bone Spear. The Bone Spear Necromancer is a pretty easy build to make. Players should maximize Bone Spear, grab Imperfectly Balanced, and then focus on getting to Serration, Compound Fracture, Rapid Ossification, and Evulsion.

But like the Rogue class, Summoning Necromancer was an enticing build for this class too. Between late-game skills like Hellbent Commander, Death’s Defense, and Kalan’s Edict, an endgame Summoning Necromancer in Diablo IV might be more than just viable, it might be unstoppable.

Diablo IV releases June 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. What are your thoughts on these builds for the upcoming Diablo title? Let us know in the comments section below.
