As it happens, Valorant players will soon be able to express their feelings in-game with emotes. Upon this revelation, several fans pointed out how Riot Games is planning on following the footsteps of some successful shooter games. The most prominent examples would be of Apex Legends and Overwatch.

Riot’s successful tactical shooter IP is in its second year, with its initial release in April 2020. The growth associated with the free-to-play first-person shooter game is immense. Apart from its experience on PC, Valorant will also receive a port for mobile devices soon.

Emotes consists of a popular feature in most shooter video games, and Valorant will surely be a better place with a bunch of those agent-exclusive titillating animations.

Valorant may receive agent-exclusive emotes soon

A Valorant leaker of the name ‘floxay’ seems to have found a game file that shows a popular agent from the game showcasing an emote.

Floxay also mentioned that the emotes are similar to that of Fortnite’s, and are in third-person. A player will reportedly not be able to move or jump while using those emotes.

Floxay also gave the possibility of Riot restricting the usage of emotes to Round End or Buy Phase only. Moreover, players will possibly have an emote wheel, from which they will be able to choose the emote.

As it happens, not much is known regarding the speculated emotes bundle. The leaked video from floxay featured Jett, a popular duelist agent in the game, displaying two emotes. While it seems very convincing, emotes in Valorant are still a part of speculation. So, fans are better off taking it with a grain of salt.

While the fate of emotes in Valorant is presently unknown, the latest PBE patch has come with a lot of interesting changes. The most recent changes deployed in the PBE include a disheartening second nerf to the popular Sentinel agent, Chamber, and slight changes to Neon and Jett’s kits. Moreover, the agent UI screens also received a pleasant overhaul!
