Fresh Reports Suggest Valorant Championships Will Be Coming To USA In 2023

Valorant is a game that got the attention of the world at a fast rate. Riot’s FPS shooter was an instant hit among the gaming community. The popularity was so immense that many Esports professionals migrated into the game. Many franchises were also interested in the game and created rosters with exceptional players.

This all lead to major tournaments from the FPS shooter. The first international LAN event was the Master 1 Reykjavík. Later, Riot unveiled their biggest event ever, The Valorant Championship. They introduced the championship first in 2021 and many consider it the biggest and most prestigious title in the game. Now rumors suggest that it might come to the USA.

Valorant Champions 2023 might come to the USA

The Champions is the biggest event in Valorant, where teams from across the regions compete for the prestigious title. The first Champions was hosted in Berlin. Many watched this momentous tournament and had many twists. Ascend from EMEA defeated Gambit Esports, who were having a glorious run in the tournament, and became the first-ever champions.

Istanbul hosted the Champions in 2022. Interestingly, the former champions did not even qualify for the Champions this time. Optic Gaming was the team who were the favorites until LOUD proved them wrong.

Now, speculations suggest that the Champions 2023 will come to US soil. According to reports from Alejandro Gomis from Blix, the United States will be the host for this year’s biggest event. This would be the first time the event is coming to the US and if true will be a tremendous event.

Especially since NA is one of the prominent regions in Valorant. The reports also suggest that Los Angeles would likely be the most probable location for the event. LA has been the host of many popular leagues and tournaments, including Riot’s League of Legends.

Fans of the NA franchises will get to cheer for their favorite team and players if these reports come true. They have not yet fixed an exact date for the tournament, but there are expectations for it to be conducted in the latter half of the year.

What to expect in the meantime?

Champions 2023 is a long way away and thus the US fans will have to wait for it for some time. Meanwhile, the community can experience the upcoming Americas league that will begin at the end of March.

10 franchised teams will compete for the 3 masters spot in this competitive league. Fans will get to see 100 Thieves, Cloud 9, Evil Geniuses, Furia Esports, KRU Esports, Leviatan, LOUD, MIBR, NRG, and Sentinels fighting against each other.
