Nintendo has a lot to reveal this year, even after offering hits like Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the recent release in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Its focus for the remainder of 2022 will surely lie on the Mario series now. At least that’s what a new leak has suggested recently.
It seems like the upcoming and awaited Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be arriving during the Holiday season in 2022. Simply put, it will reportedly make its way along with an already confirmed live-action movie in December.

Mario +Rabbids Sparks of Hope is reportedly releasing during Christmas 2022!
For those not aware about the game, somehow, Sparks of Hope will be a turn-based strategy title. Being a third-party game, it’s developed by Ubisoft Milan studio and will be published by Ubisoft for the Nintendo Switch console.
Simply put, it’s a crossover between Nintendo’s Mario character and Ubisoft’s Rabbids series. Most importantly, it’s a sequel to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
Recently, a new detail was revealed about the anticipated Switch title by famous YouTuber Zach on his channel SwitchForce.
While mentioning Sparks of Hope, Zach shared the information about its possible release window. He revealed that it’s reportedly coming out during the Holiday period at the end of the year. This leak, according to him, is based on a famous industry insider and their own sources.
In case if this news turns out to be true eventually, it will be an interesting scenario to witness. Because everyone knows that the Zelda sequel will not arrive in 2022. And it was expected to be a Holiday game, but now it won’t be the case anymore.
So basically, Nintendo might be planning to fill the void in December with Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. This makes sense as well, given the fact that a live-action movie on the iconic character is also releasing in the same month.

However, Zach also noticed that the upcoming game isn’t a first-party title from Nintendo itself. Hence, the latter would like to offer another game in the form of its own IP. When it comes to in-house projects, fans may witness either a Metroid: Prime remaster or a newly rumored Donkey Kong.
