Animal Crossing New Horizons needs more content and more ways for players to enjoy the game. The life simulation title suffers heavily from the community quickly running through anything the game has to offer. This can oftentimes leave the fans in limbo as the entire island feels quite empty. Not taking away anything from Nintendo, as in recent times, the Japanese studio has worked out quite a lot of content for the game.

Now, it looks like the studio is hoping to add even more value to the game by working on something new. The latest leaks from data files of the games suggest developers are on the cusp of rolling a new DLC.

Mini-games are making a return in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Each iteration of the franchise reduced mini-games, and it eventually became a thing of the past. The addition of new features like cooking, and farming serves as a hint for more things to come. Prior to this update, these features weren’t teased, nor did fans ever see any additional food products. The last major update of 2.0 would also mark as the only free content update for the fans, and beyond it, fans will have to purchase DLCs. The title desperately needs more mini-games and multiplayer content, and it looks the studio just might roll it out in 2022.
