Even though the latest State of Play happened just a couple of weeks ago, fans are expecting a new one air next week. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the PlayStation State of Play to announce the God of War Ragnarok, probably the most-anticipated video game this year. However, it looks like Sony’s planning more than just a Ragnarok reveal!

Sony plans to release a range of next-gen hardware, including headsets and monitors

A day ago, 91 Mobiles, in association with Steve Hemmerstoffer (Onleaks), unveiled three upcoming Sony headsets expected to launch next week. However, another informant clarified that Sony is also releasing new monitors alongside the headsets.

According to popular industry insider Tom Henderson, Sony is most definitely planning to reveal five pieces of highly-capable hardware, three of them being headphones and the other two, gaming monitors. If the leaks are correct, fans are expected to hear from Sony next week.

Furthermore, the prominent informant also confirms that Sony will be branding the headphones and monitors under the name ‘Inzone’.

Both the headphones and monitors will feature premium capabilities suitable for gaming. In fact, the highest-priced headphone of the series is wireless and comes with a dedicated noise-canceling mode. All three headphone models will support 360 Spatial Sound amping up video game experiences.

Henderson mentioned that one of the gaming monitors will come with support for 4K gaming at 144 Hz while the other will support 1080p gaming at 240 Hz. This clearly shows Sony’s plan to target the PC gaming market, considering that the PlayStation 5 supports a refresh rate of only up to 120 Hz.

Henderson also claims that the gaming monitors will come with support for VRR (HDMI/G-Sync) and feature low latency. The description of both these monitors surprisingly includes “perfect for PS5” even though a PlayStation 5 console will not make full use of the massive refresh rate support.
