The Batman Arkham franchise is one of the most successful superhero game franchises to grace gamers. Touted for its free-flowing gameplay style, and Rocksteady’s amazing world-building, it truly brought the crime-ridden alleys of Gotham city to life. Subsequently, in 2019, the three stars of the franchise, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, were bundled into ‘Batman: Arkham collection’ and released for the PS4 and Xbox One.

After a long wait, it seems the Arkham collection might finally make its way to Nintendo’s titular hand-held console.
Batman Arkham would soon hit Nintendo Switch?
Fans of the Switch platform have suffered long in the void of competent superhero titles. The last game to release on a Nintendo platform was Arkham City- Armored Edition for the Wii U. Released in November 2012, it offered Nintendo players their only stint into the world of the caped crusader.

However, according to a recent listing on French retailer WTT’s website, Switch players could soon experience Gotham in its entirety. The website shows a listing for Batman Arkham Collection, set for release on the Nintendo Switch for €59.99.
WTT had previously listed ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ for release on the Nintendo Switch in 2018, prior to its release on the console(as per reporting by Gamerant). Lending more credibility to the latest rumor.
According to the Steam listing for The Arkham Collection, the package launched with:
-Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition
-Batman Arkham City–Game of the Year Edition
-Batman: Arkham Knight

-Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass

Although it includes most games in the franchise, Batman: Arkham Origins is traditionally not included with the Rocksteady games in the package. Considered the black sheep of the series by many, Arkham Origins’ inclusion in the Switch remains doubtful.

Another matter of intrigue is regarding the nature in which these games would run on Nintendo’s handheld. The Arkham titles are demanding games, with Arkham Knight sustaining its reputation as a GPU melter even on high-end PCs. In essence, it’s entirely possible that these games would run through the cloud instead of a cartridge.
