The long-awaited sequel of GTA V is still in production and fans haven’t received any updates about it, so far. In a rather strange turn of events, Rockstar Games confirmed that the GTA VI is indeed in production. But that was the extent of the reveal, since then fans have been jostling with ideas and what the next iteration could entail.

GTA V has been in the life cycle for 9 years and it will most likely complete a decade next year. With no updates about the upcoming sequel, there are only two possible takeaways that the community can have. Either the game is in its final phases and developers are waiting for the right opportunity to surprise the world or it isn’t ready at all.
Is GTA VI taking the route of a spectacular western theme?
A strange new teaser released on Twitter points at something else entirely. This clip contained the Rockstar logo, along with a distinct western theme, and even contained the logo. Everything that is displayed in this tiny teaser doesn’t really come from a credible source, but it indeed gives out an idea that could work.

However, there is a slight catch with this notion, as the studio has already delivered a breathtaking open-world experience with the Red Dead Redemption franchise. This idea might seem enticing on the surface but it will not go well with the community. A new update from an insider suggests GTA VI is being created on a whole new RAGE9 engine and it will definitely be ahead of its time.

Even Elon Musk is tired of waiting for next edition
Rockstar Games hasn’t ever taken such a massive break between two GTA games in the past. However, the massive success and immense revenue generated by the previous title may have compelled them to change that. Recently, SpaceX founder, Elon Musk also took aim at the studio for milking the game to its limit. He shared a funny meme on his Twitter handle that took at the studio’s approach to the GTA franchise.

Sadly, for the fans, this isn’t working out for the gamers, as the delay in the release and production of the next title has disappointed fans worldwide. Moreover, Rockstar studio is keeping everyone in the dark and in 9 years it hasn’t divulged any information. This will only fuel more speculations as the hopeful gamers await an official announcement.
