It’s been a while since Nintendo announced tons of exciting upcoming titles, DLCs, story expansions, and many more at the recent Nintendo Direct event that took place on the 9th of Feb 2022. And while the community’s already thrilled about these brand new titles and DLCs, they are particularly excited about Nintendo Switch Sports.
The Japanese gaming giant left the community stunned by reviving the iconic 2006 release, Wii Sports, for the popular Nintendo Switch console. Moreover, this upcoming sports title is all set to feature six in-game sports. Out of which, devs inherited three sports from the previous games, tennis, Chambara, and bowling.
Three sports that are going to be new additions to this title: soccer, badminton, and volleyball.

But that’s not all.
Recently, one dataminer hinted towards Switch Sports being likely to introduce two more brand new sports. The sports in question are none other than basketball and dodgeball.
In fact, this dataminer has also shared an image of the in-game files associated with these two sports. Moreover, this also proves the fact that this upcoming title has already been datamined heavily. But one thing to note is the developer Nintendo has shared no details regarding this.

This information has no doubt left the fans surprised and curious at the same time. And these in-game files referring to these two sports could mean a lot of things.
This could mean that Nintendo could introduce these two sports soon after the time of launch. Or it could also mean that these two sports could be a part of a DLC expansion that the devs will release for the game later down the line.
It’s likely that Nintendo will release some official details regarding this in a few months.
