Recently, the FPS veteran was streaming his Valorant matches. Toward the end of the rounds, he clutched up the game with his pinpoint accuracy and secured a victory for his team. After the match, Shroud commented. “See there is no strategy in this. Play any character you want.” He further commented on how it has become a trend in Valorant where players overthink what agent to choose.
Although Shroud stated that choosing an agent is vital, it is not the sole purpose of the game. “I’m not saying you can be bad,” he said, “I’m saying it doesn’t matter what character you are as long as you are clicking some f***ing heads.” Shroud poked fun at the players that continuously want to gain fresh lineups for the agents rather than improving gameplay with his golden mantra. Because Valorant is primarily an FPS game, the retired pro player advised fans to focus more on aim control.
He concluded by saying, “Any of those characters are fine. What’s important is you gotta get your kills.” Reaching the level of aim accuracy of Shroud is something a fan can only dream about. He recently won a 1v5 showing what level he plays at. And after looking at his gameplay, fans always urge him to come out of retirement. However, for now, the retired pro player has conveyed his knowledge to the fans.
