Content creators and streamers are now not only limited to playing video games. Instead, they are now trying their hands at video game development. The famous Call of Duty streamer DrDisrespect is working on an online battle royale FPS called Deadrop. Now the Twitch stars Shroud and Sacriel also announced their venture into video games.

Shroud and Sacriel are not any random streamers who are working on a video game. Shroud is a former professional Esports player, who later became a successful streamer. Meanwhile, Sacriel has been streaming gaming content for over a decade now. But what got them involved in this project is probably their expertise in the FPS and survival genre of games.

The Canadian streamer recently uploaded a YouTube video, where he announced working on a video game with Sacriel. He started by sharing that he and his fellow Twitch streamer have been exchanging ideas to create a video game for a while. But they needed someone in the game development scene to make this dream into reality, and that’s where Splash came into the scene.

Splash is not unknown in the gaming scene either. They have worked on successful titles like Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Gears games. The Splash Damage Creative Director Lance Winter said, “Bringing the experience and the knowledge that Sacriel and Shroud provide within the survival genre, plus the 20-plus years of expertise we have in building awesome shooters within Splash Damage, merge them together to create something entirely new.

Shroud further shared that with this game, he wants to provide an excellent gunplay experience to everyone. Further, this upcoming game has the codename Project Astrid, and it would be an AAA open-world survival game. Sacriel suggested the game should have a pervasive sense of tension and of drama to build an excellent survival game.

The former Esports pro shared he is enjoying working on this project because of “just sharing everything that’s on my mind.” He further said, “I get to actually see what the developers actually think about the things that are in my head and there’s just so much more than I could have ever thought when it comes to working on a project like this.”
