Epic Games’ humanitarian effort toward Ukraine seems to have brought huge results since its announcement. The latest reports reveal that Fortnite has raised over $100 million USD for the relief fund.
The news was recently shared on the official Twitter account of Fortnite. The joint initiative of Epic and Xbox has succeeded in gaining massive support from the players.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Epic Games will donate all the proceeds earned from the game to the Ukraine relief fund. It will be for those who have been affected so far in the country.

Just under a day of the initiative’s reveal, Epic managed to raise a whopping amount of $36 million USD. And now, it has been reported that the amount has gone over $100 million USD. The initiative began on March 20th and will run till April 3rd, 2022.
As of today, we’ve raised $100 million USD together to support humanitarian relief for people affected by the war in Ukraine. In addition to @UNICEF, @WFP, @Refugees and @DirectRelief, we are now also collaborating with @WCKitchen.

According to Epic, the money will go to the following organizations: UNICEF, the World Food Programme of the UN, the UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency, and Direct Relief. Lately, they have also announced a collaboration with the World Central Kitchen.
In other news, Fortnite Season 2, under Chapter 3, is named Resistance. It has introduced a lot of unexpected changes in the immensely hit battle royale. For example, ‘building’ has been wiped, which was the most crucial and inevitable aspect of the game since its initial release.
However, the latest season has also added a magical element to the competing virtual world of Fortnite. Marvel’s Doctor Strange has arrived in the multiplayer as an unlockable character. His appearance comes following the long-existing of rumors that had already predicted his entry.

Furthermore, players now get extra defense equipment, which is called the ‘Overshield’. They have also received the ability to climb and sprint faster than before.
Season 2 aka Resistance in Fortnite is now available on all the supported platforms worldwide.
