Fans are in the endgame now. Fortnite 17.50 update dropped today, and it’s clear that Epic is gearing up for Fortnite Season 8. Dataminers had already leaked juicy information about what Fortnite Season 7 would be like after the downtime.

Apart from a variety of skins and challenges, loopers will also witness an entirely new map. Epic is planning something big and the new Fortnite 17.50 update seems to align with that. One of the most notable developments is the destruction of the Corny Complex.

Starting with Corny Complex, this POI has been popular among loopers this season, and leakers suggest it will be the first to go. As per FortTory, the abducted portions of the POI have parts of the bomb fastened to them.

It seems in line with IO’s leader Dr. Slone’s plan. The floating pieces of the Corny Complex can serve as a decoy for the bombs. Fueled by Kevin’s energy, these bombs can destroy the Alien Mothership. Fortnite 17.50 update also renames Slurpy Swamp to Sludgy Swamp. The new POI has some minor dissimilarities from the older one. While landing in Slurpy Swamp, players will find it strangely deserted after its abduction by the Mothership.

This isn’t all the new 17.50 update also brings a Joy skin created by DahjaCat. Joy’s character suffers from Vitiligo, a prevalent skin condition. The skin intends to add diversity to the present Fortnite skins. Players will additionally get a Doja Cat “Kiss Me More” emote.

Fortnite 17.50 update also introduces some characters, although their roles are not clear as of now. These comprise:

  1. Brainstorm: An alien whose head is substituted with a floating brain
  2. Trespasser Elite: An ironclad alien hunter
  3. Bloom: An alien species matching a flower

With the 17.50 update, Ghost and Shadow aka the Henchmen are missing. They were last seen at Coral Castle, and it’s hard to say what happened to them. Leakers also think that Fortnite Season 8 can have a desert biome. A new loading screen showcases a spacious mural of desert in the backdrop, alongside a character brandishing what resembles a primal assault rifle.
