To engage their players more, Fortnite has kept on releasing different skins for their in-game characters. One of the anticipated ones, ‘Airhead’, was in the files of the game since season 9. The skin has officially been released as on June 6, 2020, and now is available for purchase in the item shop.

The outfit has a red balloon head and a blue and orange-tinted bodysuit. Airhead was leaked a year back, but the official release came in only yesterday. It makes its entry into the list of one of the oldest leaked outfits in the game. Initially, the skin had an epic rarity, but it currently falls under rare.

Players did get into a web of confusion regarding the skin. Rare skins were not supposed to cost as much as the epic ones, and the glitch, although not known to everyone, was instantly noticed by gamers and streamers.

The skin was available to purchase for 1,500 V-Bucks. The original price was intended to be only 1200 V-Bucks. Fortnite has confirmed that the pricing will be changed soon. Users who bought or are yet to buy the skin at the current price will be refunded 300 V-Bucks.

Twitter was flooded with players being confused about their purchase. Many were of the opinion that the skin is one of the worst they have seen in recent times. You can read some of the Twitter reactions below.

The Plastic Patroller skin is also back in the shop. The skin was famous for its camouflage feature, but updates brought in some tan shades, which reduced the efficiency. You can get the skin with three different styles for only 800 V-Bucks.

Also making a return is the Mecha Team Leader skin that will be available for purchase for 1,600 V-Bucks. Combo Cleavers is featured in the item shop and will be available for the same price as usual.
