Fortnite received its chapter 2 season 6 update on March 16th which introduced a new ‘Primal theme into the game. The game now features mechanics like crafting and hunting. Keeping with the primal theme, Epic Games have just dropped an Aloy skin.

Aloy is the main character in the Horizon franchise of games. The PlayStation exclusive title will be receiving a new installment later this year called Horizon: Forbidden West. According to Guerilla Games “Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s story as she moves west to a far-future America to brave a majestic, but dangerous frontier where she’ll face awe-inspiring machines and mysterious new threats.”

In a recent blog post, Epic Games announced “Beginning April 15, 2021, items from Horizon Zero Dawn arrive in Fortnite, including the Aloy Outfit which includes her Blaze Canister Back Bling, Aloy’s Spear Pickaxe, Glinthawk Glider, Shield-Weaver Wrap, the Heart-rizon Emote, and Aloy the Skywatcher Loading Screen.”

How to obtain the Aloy skin in Fortnite

The Aloy skin and cosmetic items can either be purchased from the store or won in competition. Starting April 14th duos can take part in the ‘Aloy Cup’.

The blog post also features the points system wherein a victory royale earns you 35 points and so on. Top duos from each region will earn the Aloy skin bundle. Furthermore, PS5 players who obtain the Aloy skin can progressively upgrade it to the Ice-Hunter Aloy style seen in the new game.

In addition to the Aloy Cup, we will also be getting a new limited-time game mode called  Team Up! Aloy & Lara. Here, players will team up in duos. Each player from the team will be assigned the role of Lara or Aloy and wild dual pistols or a bow respectively.

Aloy will be joining other female heroine’s like Lara Croft and Sarah Connor with her recent skin. Since Horizon is a Playstation exclusive franchise, this will be the first time Xbox players will be able to interact with her. Are you excited to try the new Aloy skin and bundle?
