Fortnite players experienced this issue after the launch of season 1 of chapter 3. The issue took some players by surprise, as they expected the new season to be devoid of any such issues. But the good thing is, it’s likely that the devs will fix this problem in a few days.
What is the split-screen feature in Fortnite?
Fortnite split-screen is one of the best things that has happened to this game ever since its release in 2017. The devs introduced the split-screen feature in Fortnite 2019. And using this feature, two players can play Fortnite together on a single console. So, split-screen allows two players to enjoy this game without actually needing a second console.
Basically, it just splits the screen into two parts that are shared between the two players.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available to PC users and is only exclusive to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X&S, and Xbox One.
As of now, it’s a sign of relief that the devs are well aware of this issue. According to the Trello, which is the Fortnite community website. Fans can see that “Splitscreen Disabled” under the “General Top Issues” section. And upon clicking on it, fans can see “Fixed in Next Game Update” written on a pop-up.
