Fortnite Creator SypherPK Reveals How Nickmercs Changes His Life Forever

The beginning of a strong friendship is always memorable and SypherPK has just shared a story behind his relationship with FaZe’s Nickmercs. Apparently, a Fortnite tournament got them closer to one another, sparking a strong bond alongside kick-starting SypherPK’s career.

SypherPK is a renowned Fortnite streamer who’s known for his well-informed guide videos and competitive challenges. In addition, he uploads videos debunking in-game myths and revealing any Easter eggs he comes across. He also hosts fun live streams on Twitch.

SypherPK didn’t get much traction or live stream views at the very beginning of his career. That’s also when SypherPK first communicated with Nickmercs. As it happens, Nickmercs, after ending his stream, used to tune in to SypherPK’s stream early in the morning. The small interactions escalated quickly and soon, SypherPK wanted to team up with Nickmercs for a tournament.

SypherPK shares how Nickmercs affected his Fortnite career

In an interview with Jake Lucky [Co-owner of Full Squad Gaming], SypherPK shares how Nickmercs found him when his live-stream viewership was just 300-400.

“I still had only 300-400 viewers at the time. But you know what, 300-400 viewers at 6 A.M. He was able to see me on the top of the list, ’cause no one’s really streaming at that time. So, that’s how he found me,” SypherPK explains.

According to SypherPK, Nickmercs also proceeded to endorse SypherPK’s content. Nickmercs obviously had a bigger following than SypherPK at that time, so it was a much-needed boost to SypherPK’s career.

“He was like, dude, this Sypher guy, he knows what he’s talking about, you guys should check him out,” SypherPK revealed how Nickmercs promoted him.

After a few weeks, SypherPK reached out to Nickmercs for a Fortnite Friday Duo tournament with a team-up request. Nickmercs didn’t hesitate to say yes!

Although they wanted to practice before the tournament, SypherPK mentions how they couldn’t grind together owing to their busy schedules. But, they still ended up participating and managed to bag the first spot!

“We lose in our first round, go through loser’s bracket all the way to the finals, and we double knock out Noah and Avery for the win! $5000, first win. We both had a combined, like, 50,000 viewers, and after that, people were like, oh these are the guys, these are the Fortnite guys,” Sypher narrates.
