

Fortnite recently rolled out their much-anticipated chapter 4. The new season of the battle royale game brings many unique features for players to experience. From Reality augments to the introduction of Ex-Caliber, players have been overwhelmed by the content Fortnite has brought to its latest chapter.

But, like always, new introductions and features always go through scrutiny. After the initial player experience exposure, Epic games are making slight adjustments to the new Chapter. These adjustments are aimed to balance out the game and also to ensure the excitement that the metaverse offers.

These are the new 8 Fortnite Chapter 4 adjustments
8) Capture Points
New POIs are always a fun way to explore loot in the game. Chapter 4 of Fortnite brought nine new areas for exploration with an additional capture point feature. Now, Fornite has reduced the time needed to capture a point from 60 to 45 seconds.

The accuracy and recoil of the tactical pistol have been increased. The pistols now can give tough competition to assault rifles.
6) Shockwave hammer

The hammer is a significant melee in this chapter. To balance it out, they have increased the cooldown of the hammer to 20 seconds. Fortnite also has fixed the issue where hammers dealt damage through structures and walls.
5) Shotgun changes
The thunder shotgun and the Maven auto shotgun received some changes. The equip time of the Thunder shotgun is slightly increased. The fire rate and accuracy of the Maven shotgun are increased to give it a more tactical shotgun feel.

4) Material Harvest
Many players were complaining about the number of materials that are received while harvesting was low. Now the rate of material harvested from rocks across the map has significantly increased.
3) Geno Chests

The spawn rate of Oathbound chests, also known as Geno chests, has been reduced to 70%. This indirectly also draws the fact that the number of Shockwave hammers per game will be much less.
2) Ex-Caliber
The featured gun in this chapter received some adjustments. Fortnite has reduced environmental damage roughly to half. Buildings will no longer get one-shot by the Ex-Caliber during the building phase. The damage that enemies receive from the gun is also significantly reduced.

1) Light Ammo
Light Ammo now drops in stacks of 20 instead of 18.
New reminders and rumors regarding chapter 4
The hulk is now available in the item shop. Hulk will exit the shop on December 15, 2022, and will be replaced by cosmetics that are themed on My Hero Academia. Newer perks are rumored to be added to Reality Augments including wall run, double jump, and slide jumps. Rumors about the semi-auto Flamethrower are exciting the metaverse community. Apart from all this, the community can expect Winterfest to arrive soon.
