Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, have often shown that they do not shy away from meme culture, but embrace it. Previously, the game has featured emotes like “take the L”, “infinite dab” and “peanut butter jelly”.
Being April Fool’s Day, most gaming companies tend to tease ‘fake items’ to get a reaction from their fans. This was everyone’s initial reaction when they first saw the post about a ‘Stonks’ skin coming to Fortnite. However, upon opening the game, it did not seem to be a troll at all.
In a Twitter post, Fortnite revealed that none other than the ‘Stonks’ man would be making his way to Season 6. Stonks is an intentional misspelling of the word “stocks”. The meme features the Meme Man standing in front of a picture representing the stock market followed by the caption “Stonks.”

According to Knowyourmeme, it first originated on Facebook in 2017. However, it became viral when a group of shareholders made the price of GameStop shares rise by more than 40%.
The skin is part of the ‘To the Moon!’ pack, a reference to the phrase used frequently by members of the r/wallstreetbets community. It comes with ‘Diamond Hanz’ as the ‘stonks’ man. In addition, it features a ‘gains’ back bling, which is an orange upward pointing arrow. Diamond Hanz features his typical ripped suit and blue tie. The set is available for 1200 v-bucks and is an April Fool’s Day exclusive.
The 🔔 has been rung and Diamond Hanz is ready to answer the call.

Similar to the other animals currently in the game, raptors can be tamed as allies or hunted for meat and bone. In order to tame them; however, you will require a hunter’s cloak.
Players can also expect to see DC characters, in particular, Batman being tied into the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 storyline. Epic’s CCO, Donald Mustard revealed on March 8 that a new Batman x Fortnite Zero Point comic book series would run alongside season 6. We are still patiently waiting for the caped crusader to make a return.
