Forspoken is the latest addition to the long line of action role-playing games. It is developed by Square Enix’s Luminous Productions, who were also for the creation of the 2016-released action role-playing title, Final Fantasy XV.
Fans have praised this new video game title for its breathtaking visuals and excellent gameplay. But being an action RPG, it needs to offer challenging boss fights. This Square Enix game didn’t fail to do so. Forspoken features some exciting and challenging bosses for the game’s protagonist Frey to fight.
The boss fights are an important part of this new video game, as Frey even needs to defeat the three Tantas to learn new magic. All those Tantas fights are not easy at all. However, the hardest one has to be the final boss fight against Susurrus. So let’s find out how to defeat this final boss.

Who is Susurrus?
Before we can figure out how to defeat Susurrus, we must first figure out who or what Susurrus is. It is the true identity of the magical item known as Cuff, which Frey wears throughout the game. Susurrus is an ancient demon summoned by the Rheddig, who is the reason behind the corruption in Athia.
Despite the demon’s abilities, Athia’s matriarchs were able to split Susurrus and seal him into four Cuffs, which each of the Tantas wore. However, those Cuffs corrupted the matriarchs and later acted as Frey’s ally in order to use her to unlock his powers.
How to defeat the main boss of Forspoken?
The main battle against Susurrus is divided into three stages, as is common in most action RPGs. Let’s see how to deal with the game’s main boss fight Susurrus in all three stages.
The First Phase
- Frey would be assisted in the first phase by her mother, Tanta Cinta, in her dragon form. She only needs to attack the red cross marks that appear on the screen.
- Susurrus would show up in a visible form for a few seconds throughout the fight, and attacking him then would deal major damage.
- When the main boss’s health runs out, this final fight would progress to the next stage.
The Second Phase
- He will have the same form as in the first phase during this phase as well. However, Cinta will die, which could be heartbreaking. But Frey would obtain her mother’s powers, making her stronger.
- Frey would now have to keep attacking the final boss while he releases a swarm of minor enemies at Frey to protect himself.
- When his health reaches 50%, his body will split in three and attack from different directions, making the battle trickier.
- This phase would be the hardest because of the horde and the three bodies. But fans can use the Skip ability to dodge the attacks.
The Final Phase
- Susurrus would transform into a humanoid form in this final phase, making him more agile and dangerous. As a result, players must maintain a safe distance and attack with caution.
- The players must use Red Magic to defeat the main boss. After all, fire-elemental magic deals the most damage, which is enhanced by Cinta’s boost.
- To counter some of Susurrus’s attacks, Frey would need to constantly switch between her Red and Blue magic.
- After significantly damaging Susurrus, the game will direct players to use Frey’s Green magic, triggering the thrilling fight’s climax.
- Finally, Frey only needs to unleash her Purple magic to defeat this fearsome demon.
One thing the players must remember throughout these three stages is to remain cautious and keep moving to avoid being hit by Susurrus. As the main boss’ attacks could inflict a great amount of damage on Frey.
