Sony’s PlayStation Plus service is something that most fans have pretty much gotten used to by now. They subscribe to it for access to multiplayer gaming, cloud saves, and extra discounts on numerous games.
But the most important ingredient in all this is the free monthly games. Every month, PS Plus subscribers get a bunch of games. They can choose to keep those games in their libraries until they have the subscription. And this time around, some really exciting games are hitting this service.
PlayStation Plus Subscribers finally get access to Horizon Forbidden West and much more!

Recently a very reliable PlayStation leaker billbil-kun has confirmed (now officially revealed by PlayStation) that during the month of February, fans would be able to get their hands on four exciting titles. The first of those titles would be Horizon Forbidden West (Extra and Premium). This game launched to a highly positive reception last year.
Even though it was a cross-gen title that launched on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, it was still considered one of the best-looking games of 2022.
It only makes sense that Sony decided to offer this game to PS plus users, given the fact that this game is soon getting a premium DLC. Also, let’s not forget PS VR 2 title Horizon Call of the Mountain is also on its way.
It would not be surprising if Sony offered this game to hype both of those things. Other than this, Sony is also offering Resident Evil 7 (Extra and Premium), probably in the hype of Resident Evil 4 Remake which is launching in March 2023.

Other than these two games, PS Plus users can also claim Scarlet Nexus, a very successful action role-playing game that launched in 2022, and Borderlands 3, a first-person looter shooter. All of these games have been enhanced for PlayStation 5, so gamers who have access to Sony’s latest generation of the console would be able to play the best versions of these games from February 21.
Update: (Extra and Premium) The Quarry, Outriders, Tekken 7, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Earth Defense Force 5, Oninaki, Lost Sphear, I am Setsuna, The Forgotten City.
(Premium) The Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms 2, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, Destroy All Humans!
Now that Sony has introduced different tiers to PlayStation Plus, every tier offers something new to its subscribers depending on its price. And some of these games would only be available to those who have the highest tier of PS Plus.
Fans are surprised by this line-up!
Games and tiers aside, fans have a very surprising response to this revelation. Some of them find it very hard to believe that Forbidden West is coming to PS Plus within a year of its launch.

Forbidden West ? Only one year after the release ?
— Thomas (@ThomasParquet1) February 15, 2023
Well, Sony just say "dont buy games day 1, just wait 1 year and play it for a few bucks"… HFW just 1 year after the launch? The perfect way to lose sales & with that kill the way these big games make big profit = first party studios continue to make the type of games I love.
