Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon has been making the headlines for a while now. The sixth addition to the popular action-adventure Armored Core series has turned out to be the revival it needed. The early signs of the game look promising, as the response is only expected to widen with time. Following this recent success of Armored Core 6, Bandai Namco CEO has teased intriguing future plans for the brand. 

Ever since the developers announced the launch of Armored Core 6, fans have been looking forward to the experience. In recent times, there has been a drastic shift in the fan following of FromSoftware-developed projects. Of course, most of the traffic is attributed to last year’s Game of the Year Elden Ring. And with the release of Fires of Rubicon, the series might have begun its next chapter!

The Bandai Namco published release has surpassed all the pre-existing sales expectations of the community. The game has been receiving phenomenal response from all around the globe. Sales trends in the UK suggest Armored Core 6 to be on the top of the chart, overthrowing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Amidst all the success and celebrations, the publisher’s CEO has hinted at more upcoming collaborations with FromSoftware. 

During an interview with GamesIndustry, Aurnad Muller, the EU CEO of Bandai Namco, spilled some insights on the future of the Armored Core series. He stated, “This is a big step up in the franchise. We are not going to be able to match Elden Ring numbers but we will way surpass what Armored Core previous games have done.”

Addressing the possibility of future collaborations on the series, the CEO added, “We have a great game in our hands, the gameplay, the battle system, is very loyal to what FromSoftware fans are used to, so we really want to take this IP further in the relationship with FromSoftware.”

The developer seemed highly confident about the latest launch. He believes all the gamers who celebrated the creative genius of Elden Ring would enjoy the efforts FromSoftware has made for Armored Core 6.

The Revival? 

 

Evidently, FromSoftware’s latest launch has been subjected to a lot of comparison from their classic Elden Ring. This is because, with the role-playing GOTY, the makers set a definite standard of expectations for their future releases. Based on the current trends across the industry, the latest launch has mostly kept up with the recently set standards. Moreover, from the perspective of the series, this was a much-needed revival.
