Dear Microsoft #Xbox , Phil Spencer
Now that #ActivisionBlizzard is secured

But she didn’t stop there. She went on to suggest other studios, like Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. She stated that it’s a good time to do so, “before they get annihilated by Embracer”. Suggesting that if Microsoft doesn’t take over these companies, they might get ruined by their parent company.
These post was appreciated by the community with many fans of Xbox getting hyped on the fact that this was a good sounding idea. Many fans flooded the comments section with their thoughts on this suggestion.
Acquiring Sega sounds like a good idea to fans
With many being excited about the possibilities that this post brings. Some gamers started discussing why this wouldn’t be very viable for Sega.
I feel Sega could only work if they remain completely multiplat.
Game Pass day 1 of course and maybe 1-3 months timed exclusivity. But no locked games and regulators shouldn’t have an issue

A humorous comment stated how they should take over other companies like Capcom and Konami. This comment showed that fans now expect Microsoft to take over every other gaming studio to make the gaming industry run on the duopoly everyone believes Sony and Microsoft have.
Konami and Capcom too 😂

One fan of the Golden Axe games suggested that Microsoft should fund classic projects made by Sega.
I really just want to see Xbox give Sega some cash so they can make a new. pic.twitter.com/8nzkfiqe3p

This suggestion didn’t sit right with everyone. One gamer spoke about how Microsoft and Sega already work with each other as well as Nintendo. The acquisition would mean a loss of balance in the gaming scene.
They don’t need to buy Sega. Sega already works very closely with Microsoft but they also work very closely with Nintendo. I don’t think Sega would upset that balance.

While players can be hopeful about mergers in the gaming industry, many external factors play a role in how things go down. Although this suggestion might go unnoticed by Spencer, there have been times where such requests have been noticed. Even though this might not inspire Phil to try to acquire Sega, it might just give him an idea of what the fans would like to see.
