2022 was a turning point for Valorant. Riot Games announced their new plans for the upcoming competitive season for the FPS shooter game and it impacted each and every Esport franchise who was associated with the game. The riot partnership program resulted in the complete revamp of rosters across regions.
There were high expectations for G2 and they were expected to get into the partnership program. But unfortunately, it did not happen. When everyone thought G2 was fading after all the turmoil, they announced their new roster that is expected to take part in the NA circuit.
Interestingly, they have roped in Michael ‘Dapr’ Gulino and Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan who was earlier a part of Sentinels. As soon as Dapr joined the new roster, he took to Twitter to deliver a shocking message to his former team.

The current G2 roster includes-
Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan
Michael ‘dapr’ Gulino
Maxim ‘wippie’ Shepelev
Erik ‘penny’
Francis ‘OXY’ Hoang.

Even though G2 had undergone leadership changes and didn’t make it into the partnership program, they were not completely gone from the Valorant front. G2 Gozen, their other Valorant roster, showed immense strength during the first-ever Game Changers Champions tournament after they defeated Shopify Rebellion in the finals.
The men’s team achieved the second position during VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers.
