If there’s anything fans learned from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it is that these games are best played with a sense of freedom. Roam around, explore, find new locations, and earn unexpected rewards. There are no two minds about the fact that players who explore more thrive in this game.
And the same would be the case with its sequel, given the fact that Tears of the Kingdom is basically an extension of Breath of the Wild.
Find and unlock all the abilities
The open nature of this game means fans would be able to go in any direction and unlock any abilities they want first. Hence, it is recommended for them to do so as soon as they can; this would make it easier for them to explore with confidence and defeat their enemies faster. And also, get to some locations that require specific abilities to reach.
Be Creative
Unlocking all abilities is going to allow players to be creative with this game. Remember how players used stasis for different occasions? Sometimes they defeated enemies with it, and other times they just flew through Hyrule on pieces of rock using this particular ability.

And now, the sequel would introduce a number of new abilities to play with, so the suggestion here is to just be creative and see what happens.
Don’t get too attached to the weapons
It has been confirmed that the weapon degradation mechanic from the previous game is making a return here. Players would end up with a broken weapon when they used it too much.
To remedy the irritation that comes with it, Nintendo has introduced an ability called Fuse; still, it is recommended that players not get too attached to them, as sooner or later, they will break.
Forage!
Crafting and cooking have been major parts of the prequel, and it has been made evident from most trailers that the sequel aims to expand on that. This means the materials players used to collect earlier would hold even more value than before.
