Nintendo has offered tons of amazing titles this year and most of them have succeeded in swaying the fans. To name a few, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Switch Sports have all been one of the best-selling games on the Switch.

However, now that we are entering a new month, it seems like there isn’t going to be any kind of major launch, at least from the side of Nintendo. This is definitely going to disappoint the fans, but they need not worry anymore as despite there being no major release from the Mario maker in August, there are some pretty good third-party games coming up for the Switch.

Top 5 Switch titles Nintendo owners must try out in August 2022

Even though August can be termed as a dry month in terms of having no first-party Nintendo releases, there are several options that will certainly keep the players hooked on their Switch consoles. Speaking of the best third-party games arriving this month, then the first one in the list is Cult of the Lamb.

This rogue-like adventure title from Massive Monster is published by Devolver Digital. The story of this multi-platformer follows a possessed lamb who was saved from death by a stranger named ‘The One Who Waits’. The lamb must repay this debt by creating a dedicated following in the stranger’s name. The game will release on the Nintendo Switch on August 11.

Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince is another third-party title making its way on the Switch on August 16. This sequel will take the players on a journey featuring haunted forests and mysterious lands in a vast open world.

Next up is Two-Point Campus, made by Two Point Studios. It lets you build your dream university. However, this simulation game from the studio that also brought a previous title in the Two Point series comes with a twist. The game comes out on August 9 for the Switch.

The fourth game releasing on the Switch is Pac-Man World Re-Pac, a remake of the 1999 PlayStation hit of the same name. It’s going to be a fully recreated version of the original and will make its way on August 26.

Last but not least is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. It’s basically a compilation of the games made by Digital Eclipse and published by Konami. Nintendo Switch owners will be able to enjoy thirteen TNMT games, made during the 80s and 90s, under this collection. The title will launch at the end of this month on August 30th, 2022.
