Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

A direct sequel to Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood is the third installment in the main Assassin’s Creed franchise and the second chapter of The Ezio Trilogy. Since its release in 201o, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood captivated the fans’ minds. Fans believed that this game’s USP was set in Rome in the Renaissance period. It continued the story of the protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Compared to Black Flag’s landscape of the Gloden Age of Piracy following Edward Kenway’s narrative, players were more charmed by Brotherhood’s Roman aesthetics.

Although both the games offered exclusive game mechanics and combat skills featuring the training-recruitment of Assassins and naval exploration, people felt Brotherhood’s narrative suited its gameplay environment in a well-mannered way. However, Black Flag presented better graphics and a more immersive experience than Brotherhood. Nevertheless, with multiplayer features introduced with Brotherhood, this might be a brilliant choice for Ubisoft to add to the list of possible remakes.

Assassin’s Creed II

Assassin’s Creed II is the second major installment in the main Assassin’s Creed franchise. A sequel to the debut game, Assassin’s Creed II offered the narrative of Ezio Auditore da Firenze uncovering the mysteries of First Civilization and putting an end to the assassin- Templar conflict. However, the game became an enormous hit soon after it was released in 2009. Enzio’s journey from a young man to a skilled assassin in Renaissance Italy charmed fans very much.

Players were offered Venice, Rome, Florence, and many other beautiful Italian cities to explore the gameplay. Assassin’s Creed II’s historical accuracy was another aspect that contributed to its huge popularity. Apart from new weapons to more exploration and stealth techniques, Assassin’s Creed II definitely contributed to gamers’ cultural knowledge. Definitely, this game should return to the fans with a brand-new avatar.

Assassin’s Creed

Undoubtedly, the debut game of the Assassin’s Creed franchise was one of the most popular Assassin’s Creed games since its release. This might be because of the immense historical significance of the game being the debut production of the franchise. Assassin’s Creed’s gameplay offered the set-up of the Holy Land during the Third Crusade.

This game might not have the open-world naval combats and pirate adventure, but Assassin’s Creed’s story had much potential according to the fans, which needs a platform to flourish properly. Fans also suggested that developers can improvise its gameplay and techniques to offer it as a tribute to the original one.

Assassin’s Creed: Liberation

a spin-off of Assassin’s Creed III, liberation was developed by Ubisoft Sofia and released in 2012. Set in 18th century French Louisiana, Liberation offered the story of protagonist Aveline de Grandpre, a French Assassin fighting Templars to take over New Orleans at the end of the Indian and French war. This game was appreciated firstly to present a female assassin for the first time under the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Fans believed that Aveline’s unique story brought a lot of diversity to the game. However, like other man titles, Liberation didn’t hold the fans’ excitement for long. This might also be because Liberation was only released on PlayStation Vita. Liberation introduced some new gameplay techniques like Aveline’s ability to disguise herself among the public. This game can give a detailed experience of the Assassin’s Creed III era with a different perspective. This game should make a comeback and this time for all PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry

Freedom Cry was primarily an expansion of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, however, Ubisoft later decided to present it as a standalone game for the players. Set in the French colony of Saint-Domingue, which is now presently Haiti, Freedom Cry brought Black Flag’s prominent character Adewale. Adewale’s shipwrecked situation brought him to the brutal slavery system of the West Indies while trying to protect the Carribean sea from Templars.

Adewale’s journey brought an interesting aspect to the game while showing his transition from slave to an Assassin. With this game, Ubisoft brought many socio-political issues to the fans. Set in Port-au-Prince of Haiti, Freedom Cry offered a take on the famous Haitian Revolution. Following Black Flag’s already existing popularity, developers can choose Freedom Cry for their next remake project.
