Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is one of the greatest YouTubers who always excites the audience whenever his video drops. While he has been in the industry for a few years, he has encountered changes that underwent on the platform. MrBeast presents the idea that one form of video is the most trending in today’s world

Recently, MrBeast appeared on the podcast panel with MIT Research Scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman. The two personalities talked about the culture of content creation, Twitter, mental health, and other topics. A section came when Fridman voiced his astonishment at Jimmy’s effort to put in so much work in YouTube shorts; MrBeast then put forward why he adopted a short-form style as well.

MrBeast said, “You know what’s actually pretty fascinating and people who do social media listening this will probably find this pretty interesting. Picture like the content creation meta three years ago versus now where, you can make sub-one-minute vertical content and it go viral on TikTok, it go viral on YouTube shorts, it go viral on Instagram reels, it goes viral on Facebook, it goes Reddit you know. You swipe through vertical content now and Twitter when you click on a video and you flip through it.”

He continued, “So this is actually very weird. This is the first time in the history of I guess Western social media that one form of content can actually go super viral on every single platform. It’s never been like that before.”

MrBeast gave the example of his short-form video where he sends a random person to Paris to get him a baguette which has almost 480 million views, at the time of writing. He thus puts forward the thought that he could make a short form video, and post it on platforms that would go immensely viral gaining millions of views.
