Many might not know this, but the American singer-songwriter is an avid Pokemon fan. So when he got the opportunity to collaborate with The Pokemon Company for their new games, Scarlet and Violet, Sheeran happily accepted it and came up with the song ‘Celestial’, which has 13 million views on YouTube.

Further, Sheeran’s song plays during the end credits of the two Nintendo Switch games. However, some fans weren’t huge admirers of the song, and one such fan came up with a mod to remove ‘Celestial’ from the game and replace it with ‘Butterfly’ by Koji Waja. This song is from the Japanese anime movie Digimon Adventure Tri.

The mod’s creator notified users about its 100 percent working rate with Pokemon Violet. However, there are doubts about it working with Scarlet cause the mod’s creator doesn’t own that version. But the modder also believes that developers won’t use different indexed soundtracks for both versions, and it might work with Scarlet.

How did fans react to the mod?

Fans showcased a divided response towards the mod. Many fans claimed the mod was useless as they loved the song and wouldn’t mind hearing it during the end credits. Then some appreciated the modder for creating it to remove Ed Sheeran’s song. Moreover, some fans were shocked to discover that ‘Celestial’ even made its way into the game.
